Hybrid photonic integration is a state of art technology which combines the advantage of III-V photonics with the mature large-scale, micro-processed silicon photonics technology. It is a key and enabling technology for the next generation ultra-high bandwidth transceiver, which could be largely applied in data centers, and high-speed optical interconnects. One specific aim of the photonic research @ DSI is to develop a hybrid integration platform for advanced photonic device prototyping and productization. The responsibilities of the new hire include: · Engage in III-V/Si photonic device design, fabrication and characterization with the aim to commercialize. · Work with a team of researchers to develop hybrid photonic integration platform for III-V on silicon photonic device productization. · Roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to, design-of-experiments, layout review/mask tape-out, process integration and device fabrication. · Strong hands-on nanofabrication experience is a must. · Problem troubleshooting and solution implementation Hiring Institute: Data Storage Institute Agency for Science, technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore.
